BillError is operated by Amburd LLC, a Maryland-based company. We built this site because we believe every consumer should have the tools to verify a bill's accuracy without having to pay for a professional service or share their private data.

The name BillError reflects our focus on identifying clerical, mathematical, and regulatory discrepancies in billing. We are not an "activist" or "anti-provider" site. We recognize that medical and utility billing systems are incredibly complex, and errors are often the result of systemic friction or administrative oversight.

Our goal is to act as a **Neutral Bridge** between consumers and billers by providing the same reference data (CMS, NLM, FTC) used by the billing systems themselves.
